In this post you will learn how to make your own Acne Clearing Facial using Apples. Yes, apples!
Not just any apples, you must use green apples as they are higher in Malic Acid – the active ingredient we are going to extract to have your skin acne-free in no time!
Acne Clearing Facial with Apples (Malic Acid): Malic acid is part of a family of fruit acids, called alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). Alpha hydroxy acids stimulate exfoliation by interfering with how your skin cells bond. As a result, dull skin is removed to make way for newer skin. Skin treatments with malic acid can provide benefits that include:
-skin hydration
-exfoliation, or the removal of dead skin cells
-improved skin tone and texture
-reduction in wrinkles
Malic acid in skin care treatments is celebrated for its ability to brighten the skin and smooth its texture. That’s why it’s a common ingredient in anti-aging creams as well as Anti-aging and scar lightening treatments
AHAs promote a high skin cell turnover rate. This means your skin cells are renewed more quickly, resulting in: -fewer fine lines and wrinkles
-more even skin tone
-smoother skin texture
-decreased blemishes

Method:
- Cleanse you face well and dry.
- In a juicer (you need a juicer for this one to extract the juice and malic acid properly) put in 2 x green apples (they must be green for optimum malic acid). If you have oilier skin you may want to squeeze the juice of half a lemon into your mix lemons contain citric acid which is great for oily skin and also diminishing dark/age spots. (2 green apples:1/2 lemon juice for a deeper peel)
- Apply the juice/malic acid fruit peel with a clean make-up brush and leave for 10 minutes. If you feel uncomfortable or it stings then wash it off immediately.
You skin will be immediately glowing, after long-term use you will notice less blackheads, reduced acne and a more even skin tone with less dark patches/spots.

**Warning : Although malic/fruit acid is less irritating on the skin than other AHAs, it should still be used with caution. Malic/Fruit acid can make your skin turn red, itch, or burn, especially around the eyes.
You may want to patch test a product before a complete application. To patch test, swab a small amount of product on your wrist or behind your ear. Then wait 24 hours to see how your skin reacts. If your skin begins to burn, wash off the product immediately. Seek medical attention if the irritation doesn’t go away after washing.
